Advertisement for Sealed Bids for the Sale of Surplus Automobiles, Furniture, and Equipment of Cumberland Mountain Community Services Board
Cumberland Mountain CSB (CSB) has authorized the sale by sealed bid of surplus automobiles,
furniture and other equipment, as listed on our website at www.cmcsb.com/surplus, in “as is
condition” without any guarantees or representations of any kind.
All sealed bids must be submitted to the CSB in the following manner:
- The bidder must obtain a bid sheet from the Allison Building, 196 Cumberland Road or from the website listed above. The completed bid sheet must be completed with the name, address and contact number of the bidder. Each bid amount must be clearly written. The bid sheet must be signed and dated by the bidder.
- The bid(s) must be placed and sealed in an opaque (non-transparent) envelope and presented in person to the receptionist at the CSB, Allison Building, 196 Cumberland Road, Cedar Bluff, Virginia prior to 2:00 p.m. (local time) on May 31, 2024.
- The envelope containing the sealed bid(s) must be clearly marked on the front with the words “CMCSB Bids” and with no other information on the face of said envelope.
The CSB will accept sealed bids for the sale of said surplus automobiles, furniture, & equipment until 2:00 P.M., Friday May 31, 2024, at the main office of the CSB, Allison Building, 196 Cumberland Drive, Cedar Bluff, Virginia 24609 — at which time the said sealed bids shall be opened in public and announced by the CFO or such other CSB official designated by the CSB. The CSB reserves the right to withdraw the property from sale at any time and reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The successful bidder must pay in full for the item purchased and remove such item within ten (10) business days of the acceptance of such bidder's bid. The CSB reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bidding process. In the event that the high bidder defaults on said purchase, the CSB hereby reserves the right to accept the bid of the next highest bidder.
